Permits & Insurance

All trekkers require an official permit issued by the Rinjani National Park (Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani — TNGR). The Element handles the entire permit process for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

The dry season from April to November is ideal. Peak months are July and August. The park is officially closed during wet season (January–March) for safety.

A moderate fitness level is sufficient for Crater Rim treks. Summit attempts require good cardiovascular endurance. We recommend cardio training at least 4 weeks before your trek.

Layered clothing, sturdy hiking boots, headlamp, sunscreen, rain jacket, and personal medication. We provide tents, sleeping bags, meals, and water.

The summit reaches 3,726m. Mild symptoms are possible. Our guides are trained in altitude awareness and carry first aid kits. We ascend gradually to help acclimatization.
